Dr Ben Weavell - Osteopath

Hi, I'm Ben.

For nearly ten years, I've helped people work through all sorts of pain, injuries and physical problems. Some are relatively straightforward; others need a little more detective work.

I enjoy getting to know the person behind the problem, taking the time to understand what's going on and working together to find a practical way forward.

Feel better.

Stay involved.

Pain and injury can get in the way of living life the way you want to.

Whether that's sport, work, exercise or everyday life, my aim is to help you feel better and keep doing what you enjoy.

What I can help with

People come to me with all sorts of pain, injuries and physical problems, including:

  • Back & neck pain

  • Headaches

  • Shoulder & arm problems

  • Hip, knee & leg problems

  • Sports & exercise injuries

  • Recurring & persistent problems

Good care starts with understanding.

To give you the best care and advice I can, I need to understand what's going on and what matters to you.

Here's what our first appointment together will usually look like:

Listen

We’ll start with what's happening, what you've tried and what matters to you.

Assess

I'll look at what's relevant to your problem, including what's painful and how you're moving.

Explain

I'll explain what I've found, what it means and what I think is worth focusing on.

Treat

Hands-on treatment is an important part of osteopathy. Depending on what we find, that might include working with muscles and other soft tissues, moving joints, or using other hands-on techniques.

The approach we settle on will depend on your problem, what's appropriate for you and what you're comfortable with.

Plan

We'll work out what to do next, including anything useful between appointments. That might mean advice on activities, exercises, self-treatment, or relative rest.
